It’s 12:30am right now.
Before bed, I was thinking about something: we go about learning languages wrong.
It’s so NOT about grammar.
I saw a post a second ago about how to “master indirect object pronouns.” This implies you can study grammar as a way to remember and apply it in a conversation.
To a large degree, this is wrong.
While studying grammar is only part of the equation, mastery comes to you when you least expect it. It just hits you one day after lots of:
Listening
Reading
Speaking
More grammar is not the answer.
You will not worksheet your way to fluency. Studying only gets you so far. Get listening, reading, and talking.
That’s the real secret.
Thanks for reading!
